This New York restaurant takes Facebook stalking to a new level?
In between 9/11 & Spring 2003 while a battalion operations chief my commander Col John Love (now General Love) encouraged me to put together a "struggling families" ministry. With the help of the local Christian radio station for San Clemente, CA; KWAVE @ 107.9 this tiny ministry was successful. In two years they donated over $40,000 in advert time reaching all of Southern Cali.
Point of the story; I had my small staff GOOGLE those calling in for donation pickup... most of which were accomplished professionals. It wasnt for marketing, stats or for extra cash selling info to spamsters. It was for personalized 'thank you' cards after each donation. I remember my astonishment when one pickup revealed a $5k Shabby Chic sleeper sofa from a university professor. She was startled when I asked how her (related) research was going and how a recent lecture went.
The information wasn't for ill use. Though no one can guarantee that across the board. Too bad. As I used to remind those in my charge; the information, lessons & knowledge I share with them will make them 'super'. They have to use it as super hero's not super villains.
Right... It only takes a trend to make a law regulating against it. That's why we have to hold accountable the bad guys. The 'never say no' leftists don't seem to care about this important crime deterrent strategy. Notice I wrote 'care.' They know and understand it's rightful purpose. That is not their priority goal. It is to appease their party members. If the (potential) party members want extended forever benefits, decriminalized drugs, or to ignore laws then that is their focus of effort while simply ignoring the rational aspects and purposes of governments foundation.
Anywhoo... I dont have enough information on this NYC restaurant to make an informed decision. My inclination is that they simply look for the info as I did... for small talk designed to encourage, lift & motivate. There is such a thing.
